Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) has demanded eight coaches including the head coach for the Nepali national team. CAN has published a notice inviting applications from one head coach and seven coaches.
The post was vacant after Umesh Patuwal, who had been working as the head coach of the Nepali cricket team, resigned. CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand said that the application was called for the post as the training was hampered due to the absence of a head coach for a long time.
Similarly, CAN has also demanded one trainer for each of the seven states. CAN has also invited applications for the post of Chief Manager, Chief Financial Manager and Manager. CAN had earlier decided to have coaches in each province for the first time to develop and expand the game of cricket across the country. Due to lack of training, they could not get a chance to play. Now, the main emphasis will be on the production of cricketers in all the states and districts, said CAN President Chand.
